The plate's substantial gauge, combined with its reinforced lower grid crossbeams, bestows unmatched resistance and durability when compared to other charcoal ovens.
An innovative sloped surface on the plate directs oils towards a central collector, facilitating their subsequent passage to the internal fat collector found in all Pira charcoal ovens. This ingenious design element effectively mitigates the development of unwanted odors and excessive smoke, often arising from the combustion of fats and flames while preparing items rich in oils, such as bacon, duck magret, and sausages. Furthermore, the versatility of the griddle plate extends beyond expectations, accommodating dishes initially destined for standard griddles due to their delicacy or size.
