A distinctive sloped surface on the plate effectively directs oils towards a central collection point, facilitating their journey to the internal fat collector, a feature inherent to all Pira charcoal ovens. This ingenious design aspect effectively curbs the emergence of unwanted aromas and excessive smoke, commonly associated with the combustion of fats and flames during the preparation of richly fatty items such as bacon, duck magret, and sausages.
